About TCFC Tai Chi

TCFC Tai Chi Christian Teaching Fundamentals

TCFC Tai Chi is based on a calling from the Holy Spirit of Christ to adapt selected and appropriate traditional Tai Chi breathing, stretching and related movements for His own good purposes. TCFC Tai Chi is absolutely and explicitly a Christian-based activity. As such, the following principles are to be followed at all times and in all circumstances by TCFC coaches, classes and any related activities:

TCFC Tai Chi is based on a calling from the Holy Spirit of Christ to adapt selected and appropriate traditional Tai Chi breathing, stretching and related movements for His own good purposes.
TCFC Tai Chi is specifically aligned with the concept of the Christian trinity of the “Father”, “Son” and the “Holy Spirit”. Any other “gods”, “spirits”, “energies” or “entities” of any kind are incompatible with the TCFC Tai Chi system.
The primary goal of TCFC Tai Chi is for the Holy Spirit of Christ to use the system for His own purposes - especially for the establishment of direct and personal relationships with those who are open to His calling, and wish to hear His voice.
The secondary purpose of TCFC Tai Chi is to benefit from the inherent physical benefits of traditional Tai Chi.
After the warmup sequence, all TCFC classes are to required to begin with the TCFC Greeting and Dedication (Lesson 2 - TCFC Introduction Course) and the TCFC Tai Chi Introduction Sequence (Lesson 4 - TCFC Introduction Sequence).
Ideally, the TCFC Introduction Sequence (Lesson 4 - TCFC Introduction Sequence) should be practised in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. However, at the very least, this introduction must be acknowledged in the name of Jesus Christ or it is not TCFC Tai Chi.
All breathing exercises, stretching, movements and meditations have been specifically selected or adapted to honour Christ and to align ourselves with the will of the Holy Spirit.
TCFC is not a “New Age” movement that points away from Christ and His traditional church doctrines or belief systems. Rather, it is intended to develop one’s personal relationship with Christ and to encourage participants to join in both the TCFC community as well as their own local church community, where appropriate.
Like Christ, TCFC accepts anyone from anywhere. Atheists, agnostics, Christians and those from any other faiths or belief systems are all welcome to participate in TCFC Tai Chi and to join our online community.
